Forecast Fox | What used to be, what could have been..
Something went horribly wrong at ForecastFox. Where once they possessed a trim, neat, unobtrusive, feature-rich weather addon, they birthed a monstrous thing. Huge. Bloated. Bent on devouring giant chunks of your monitor's real estate. No longer your partner in planning an outing, it has become your nemesis. The tiny, customizable, well-thought-out addon has been supplanted by some feverish nightmare.While I do not mind the new color scheme, the absence of previous features is not something to be embraced. Version "2.0" should NOT be a giant step backwards. Additionally, when introducing a new product (and make no mistake about it, this is a new product, not an update) the goodwill engendered from the previous version should not be so callously discarded.At the very least, a compatible version of the old addon should be available. Version 1.0. New colors, same small footprint, additional features. Ah, what might have been.Goodbye, ForecastFox. I'll miss you.
Pros: New colors. Some of the features of the previous versions.
Cons: No longer as customizable. The mouseover popup now consumes 500% more screen real estate (fully 20% of my screen).
